Radhika Madan (born 1 May 1995) is an Indian actress who works predominantly in Hindi films. She started her acting career with the television soap opera Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi (2014–2016) after graduating from Jesus and Mary College.
In 2018, Madan made her cinematic debut in the comedy Pataakha directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, for which she received the Screen Award for Best Female Debut. Since then, Madan has been in the films Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota (2018), Angrezi Medium (2020), Shiddat (2021), the television drama Ray (2021), and Kuttey (2023).
Early life and education
Radhika Madan was born on 1 May 1995 in Delhi, India. Her mother Neeru Madan is a painter, and her father Sujit Madan is a businessman. One of two siblings, she. Arjun Madan, her brother, is her. Madan graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi, New Delhi, after completing her education at Delhi Public School on Mathura Road.

Television career (2014–2017)
Madan, a native of Delhi, launched her acting career on Colors TV‘s daily soap opera series Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi. She achieved enormous recognition for her role as Ishaani Vaghela, the female lead in the movie alongside Shakti Arora. In addition to completing Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi’s filming schedule, Madan took part in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 on Colours TV in 2015.
Film career (2018–present)
Together with Sanya Malhotra, Madan left television to make her feature film debut in Vishal Bhardwaj’s 2018 drama Pataakha. Based on the Charan Singh Pathik short story Do Behnen, which was about two sisters in Rajasthan who were often at odds. The wives of Pathik’s brothers served as the inspiration for the novel, and Madan and Malhotra met the genuine spouses to research the accent and subtleties of the characters. Malhotra and Madan spent time in the Rajasthani dialect in the village of Ronsi, which is close to Jaipur, as part of their training. Raja Sen noted in his assessment.
Madan was cast alongside Abhimanyu Dassani, a debutant, in Vasan Bala’s action comedy Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota in 2019. She did every stunt personally and spent days familiarising herself with the genre by watching several vintage action films. Madan starred alongside Irrfan Khan and Kareena Kapoor, in Homi Adajania’s comedy-drama Angrezi Medium in 2020.
She was a “absolute natural” in the part, according to Anupama Chopra. Disney+ Hotstar hosted the release of her lone movie in 2021. It was Sunny Kaushal and Kunal Deshmukh’s romantic drama Shiddat. She made a cameo appearance in the Netflix neo-noir crime comedy thriller film Monica, O My Darling. in 2022. Her first release in 2023 was the crime thriller film Kuttey, which was directed by Vishal Bhardwaj’s son Aasmaan.
