Manoj Muntashir


Manoj Shukla (born 27 February 1976) is an Indian lyricist, poet, dialogue writer and screenwriter. And who is also known by the name of Manoj Muntashir in the entire Bollywood and music industry. He produced a number of popular Hindi film tracks. Teri Mitti, Galliyan, Tere Sang Yaara, “Kaun Tujhe,” Dil Meri Na Sune, “Phir Bhi Tumko Chaahunga,” Baahubali: The Beginning, and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion are a few of these.

Early & Personal life


Muntashir was born on 27 February 1976 in  Gauriganj, Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, India, into a Brhaman farming family. Manoj completed his studies from Hull School Korwa. He relocated to Mumbai in search of employment after earning his degree from Allahabad University in 1999, and after being given the chance to write for Kaun Banega Crorepati, he eventually joined the TV and film industry. He is wed to Neelam Shukla, and the two are parents to a boy.

Dhoni: The Untold Story, and “Dil Meri Na Sune” from the movie “Genius,” have lyrics written by Muntashir. He has worked with many great composers, including Rochak Kohli, Himesh Reshammiya, Amaal Mallik, Ankit Tiwari, Tanishk Bagchi, M. M. Keeravani, and Vishal-Shekhar. He has frequently expressed disapproval of the crediting of song and script authors. The song “Phir Bhi Tumko Chaahunga” (2017), whose lyrics he initially wrote for his wife in 2001, received over four million views through unofficial versions prior to its official release. Manoj expressed that he didn’t “know why some people can’t accept an age-old fact that lyricists have an equal amount of contribution in making a song successful” when he did not receive credit for the song.

He received a National Film Award for Saina’s finest lyrics. (film). He has penned the scripts for both Indian Idol Junior and India’s Got Talent. For Baahubali 2, Muntashir wrote the Hindi dialogues, dubbing the words in Hindi to mirror the Telugu actors’ lip movements. Later, he received a request to carry out the same task for the Hollywood production Black Panther.

His honors have included the Radio Mirchi Music Awards, the IIFA Awards, and the Yash Bharti Award. He released the novel Meri Fitrat Hai Mastana in 2019.
